Alongside her media career, Leonor Poeiras graduated in Painting from Ar.Co \u2013 Centro de Arte e Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o Visual, in Lisbon. She began the course in the 2009\/10 academic year and, after a long interruption, returned to complete it between 2017 and 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leonor Poeiras began her daily artistic practice in 2020, at the age of 40, closing a two-decade chapter in the Portuguese media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her creative process, she feels driven to imprint the noise and materiality of the real world, intervening on smooth surfaces in a personal reflection on what is natural and what is constructed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patches of strong color initially camouflage the gesture, which gradually reveals itself through physical proximity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is currently a student in the online course Tangible Things: Discovering History Through Artworks, Artifacts, Scientific Specimens, and the Stuff Around You, offered by Harvard University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
